Cynthia a few days ago, shared some personal photos of PPP leader and sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab on twitter, accused him of having relations with several women.
Two days ago, in a video message, she accused former Interior Minister Rehman Malik of raping her, while former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and former Health Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin were accused of trespassing.
However, the three ministers vehemently denied the allegations and questioned Cynthia’s “intentions”.
The PPP has so far filed FIRs against Cynthia de Richie in more than 200 police stations across the country in response to the allegations.
Cynthia said in a written reply to a notice issued by the FIA on Saturday that she had been living in Pakistan for 10 years and has been working for the Department of Archeology and various NGOs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
She said she did not want to fight the PPP and saw party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as a powerful leader of the country in the future.
Cynthia also said in a written reply that she wanted to interview Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for a documentary, which she is currently making an investigative documentary.
Who is Cynthia?
Cynthia, 38, is an American citizen who first came to Pakistan in 2009. During this time she also spent some time outside Pakistan but for the last seven years she has been permanently residing in the city of Islamabad.
During the 2010 floods in Pakistan, Cynthia visited Pakistan as a goodwill ambassador with Mayor of Houston.
Shortly after the visit, Cynthia met current Prime Minister Imran Khan in Houston, where he was attending a fundraising event.
According to Cynthia, she stayed in touch with Imran Khan after the meeting.
After that, the PPP government invited Cynthia to work as a communication lecturer in the health department.
According to Cynthia, she accepted the invitation and came to Pakistan to serve the PPP government for free.
She was provided with accommodation, transport, a phone and a tablet device by the health department.
Cynthia said she had a good friendship with the health minister of that time, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, who often came to her residence and came to her room without informing her.
According to Cynthia, he once tried to massage her back, which she condemned and then distanced herself from him.
However, Makhdoom Shahabuddin while talking to a news agency denied the allegations and said, “Cynthia is lying, I have always respected her. She used to come to my office often and never had any untoward incident.
In 2011, Cynthia worked as a strategist and researcher in the social media wing of PTI. She also played a role in drafting the party manifesto.
In 2015, Cynthia Richie made her first documentary on the name of “Emerging Faces” based on Pakistani culture and civilization. Cynthia also writes for the Express Tribune, The News International, South Asia Magazine and Global Village Space as a writer.
According to Cynthia, she has been researching the Pashtun Tehreek Movement’s alleged anti-national activities with the help of local agencies and the Pakistan Army.
Cynthia said research on the documentary revealed that the PPP allegedly had close ties to the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement.
She alleged that because of this research, he and his family have been intimidated for a long time, so he started a series of tweets against the PPP. However, the PPP leadership denies Cynthia’s allegations.
